The Mirror of Erised

I was walking past Filch’s office to get to lunch. Suddenly I saw 2 girls talking and I became interested. If you think conversations between two fifth year girls are weird, boring, and constantly giggly, this one was different. The fifth-years were whispering, so I got even more curious. I fished into my overly large book bag, got out my Invisibility Cloak, and followed them. Here’s what I heard:
“The rumors are true. There IS a Mirror that shows your heart’s desire.”
“Where is it?”
“I think it’s near the Library, I saw a few teachers move it there”
Wow, I thought, I HAVE to see that mirror. But I wanted more info first. Like what do they mean by “heart’s desire”? And why is it so special? I went up to the fifth-years and asked them about it.
“Hey!”
“What do you want, Katy?”, said Anne, one of the fifth-years.
“So, I heard you guys talking about this mirror”, I stated. “But what do you mean by ‘it shows your heart’s desire?’”, I tentatively asked. Anne laughed. “Oh Katy, you’re too young for this stuff. You wouldn’t understand it anyway”, she said in a voice that reminded me of poisoned honey. “But I’m not-”, I started to protest when she walked off.
I’m always getting the excuse ‘You wouldn’t understand’ so fifth-years don’t tell me anything. ANYTHING. They even said once I wouldn’t understand dessert on my first day here. But anyways. After everyone had gone to bed, I decided to run off to find the Mirror. I remembered Anne saying it was in the library, so I went there. I put on my Invisibility Cloak so Filch or McGonagall or anyone else wouldn’t catch me. Once I got to the library, I took my Cloak off and stared the the mirror.
The mirror was beautiful. It had a golden frame and its surface was nicely clear and polished. I looked into it and saw what I really wanted to happen in the mirror. Gryffindor had won the House Cup, and Slytherin came in last place. It was awesome watching that. I then realized that was what Anne had meant about “heart’s desire”. Then suddenly I heard footsteps. I put on my Cloak, and then heard someone say,”, Katy Spinner, I know that’s you under your Invisibility Cloak. There’s really no point in trying to hide”, they laughed. “OK fine, you caught me. I’m here”, I sighed as I pulled off the Cloak. I was waiting for the teachers to yell at me. But I saw my best friend Millie standing there laughing instead. “Millie?”, I asked, confused. “What are you doing here?” “Well, I also heard Anne talking about that mirror. And I knew you would go here with your Cloak. So, I decided to follow you”, she laughed. “Now let me see that mirror”. A moment later, Millie gasped. “Wow, this is so cool”, she said. “I see me killing You-Know -Who”. “Wow, that’s so cool! I saw Gryffindor winning the House Cup & Slytherin TOTALLY LOSING”, I laughed. Then suddenly a voice rang out. “Who is there near the legendary Mirror of Erised?”, it said. I recognized that voice as Filch’s. “Come on! Filch will find us and we’ll be expelled!”, I called out to Millie. I threw the Cloak on both of us and we ran straight to our Common Room. “Gee, that was fun”, Millie grinned when we finally reached our beds.. “Yeah. But right now, I am beat”, I yawned. “Goodnight Katy”, Millie said. “Goodnight Millie”, I said sleepily.
